A small practice, built on nearly two decades of the work.
POW XD is a design practice led by Jamie Pow. We stay small on purpose and bring in hand-picked senior specialists for each engagement, so the people who meet you are the people who do the work.

Jamie Pow · Founder, POW XD
I’ve spent almost two decades helping businesses create experiences people genuinely enjoy using.
I’ve been making things for as long as I can remember. Design was the part I loved, and code was how I learned to build it myself. As a teenager it was posters, then websites. Anything that let me take an idea out of my head and put it in front of someone else. My early years were spent in studios, learning the craft the hard way: on real projects, for real clients, to real deadlines. Taste, I found, is only half of it. The other half is getting the thing out of the door, made properly.
Then the work got bigger. At Thomas Cook I saw how experiences are built for millions of people at once. At Springer Nature I learned that the real skill is making complexity feel simple. At Selfridges I helped shape a design culture inside one of the world’s great stores. Somewhere along the way I stopped being the person who made the work and became the person who helps teams make it, building teams, setting the standard and leading change.
I started POW XD to bring all of it together: the craft, the code, the enterprise rigour and the leadership, for businesses that care as much as I do. I keep the practice small and bring in specialists I have worked alongside for years, chosen for the problem rather than kept on a payroll. It means you get senior people on your work, and you never pay for a studio to keep its lights on.

Design leadership
Hundreds of projects. Thousands of customer conversations. Cross-functional teams led, and design cultures grown from the inside out. The kind of experience that only comes from having done the work, at every scale, for a very long time.
We work with ambitious businesses that care about quality, long-term thinking, and creating products people genuinely enjoy using. If that sounds like yours, we would like to hear your story.
